Liz Fashion Industry ltd (Valuka Unit) is a 100% export oriented garments manufacturing factory. We believe that we achieved success in this business because we obey and perform our social responsibility. To sustain our business we invest money and introduce new technology. Employees learn updated technology and knowledge. As a result we are able to maintain national and international laws related to our business. We are committed to provide quality product to customer by maintaining related laws. If any violation of related laws found, company take necessary initiative immediately. If any national laws is more than our COC then we follow the laws. For maintaining customer satisfaction, safe workplace, sustainable compliance and progress of company we maintain the below COC.
i) Legal Compliance
LIZ Fashion Industry Ltd follows all the applicable laws for factories activities. If any local or international laws are more affords than company follows that.
ii) Working Environment
Liz Fashion Industry Ltd is committed to ensure clean, safety and healthy working environment. Liz Fashion Industry Ltd believes that a clean, safety and healthy working environment make good and sustainable relation within workers and management which keep running a smooth productivity.
iii) Recruitment
All the recruitment in factory being done as per written contact letter describe in laws. The contact letter contains wages payment time, wages & benefits, bonuses, leave, and employment condition.
iv) Working Hours
The working hour in LIZ Fashion Industry is fixing as per related applicable local and country laws. General working hour 48 hour in a week and overtime is allowed only 12 in a week. All overtime is voluntary compensated at the prevailing overtime rates. Overtime premium are paid as per law. The entire employees are provided with one day off in every consecutive seven-day week.
v) Wages and Benefits
After completing a month work all the employees are provided their previous month wages and others benefits within 7(seven) working days. Wages and others benefits are provided within normal working hour. Overtime premium are provided as a double rate of basic wages. Actual payment is provided all employees for their labor.
vi) Health and Safety
Our factory workplace is not adverse for employee’s health & safety. We have taken necessary step for ensuring safe workplace, so that workplace accident reduces. We arrange health & safety training for ensuring safety workplace for employees. Factory following necessary regulation, guideline for safe workplace. In this connection factory ensure reasonable access to potable water and sanitary facilities; fire safety; emergency preparedness and response; industrial hygiene; adequate lighting and ventilation; occupational injury and illness analysis and machine safeguarding. Safety analysis conducted regularly and works priority basis on finding to resolution it.
vii) Forced Labor
Forced labor means, Force (physical threat, mental torture, financial threat) any employee to perform duties which he /she are not willing to do. Not to pay their wages and others benefits in proper time, cut wages for any machineries or equipments damage and make member of any saving scheme unwillingly also treated as a force labor. Which is totally prohibited. No employees are restricted to movement in factory premise. Company doesn’t belief force labor.
viii) Child Labor
Child labor is strictly prohibited by I.L.O., United Nation Convention & National Act. Company shall not recruit any child labor who did not complete compulsory education or under the age 14 years. “Education is the backbone of a nation” imposing the importance this slogan company will never encourage or recruit child labor. If factory do practice of recruiting juvenile workers then shall comply with all regulations according to laws.
ix) Discrimination
Liz fashion Industry Ltd. treats all the employees equally. Factory appraise to its employees without considering of gender & sexual orientation, religion, age, race, social group, community, social status, nationality, representation of trade union, disability, political opinion and other concern. Salary and other benefits are determined on the basis of skill and education. Factory ensures equal growth opportunities for all employees as per employee’s competency.
x) Harassment and Abuse
Liz Fashion Industry Ltd. is fully careful in any case of harassment and abuse in the factory. All kinds of harassments & abuses behavior are strictly prohibited with factory employees. Company’s gross practice to treat with its employees with respect and dignity. Physical torture, mental torture, misbehave, sexual harassment and restriction in freedom of movement are not permitted at all in the factory.
xi) Corruption
Liz Fashion Industry Ltd. respect legal procedure for business practice. Factory doesn’t adopt and support any illegal practice such as: corrupt practices, including extortion, fraud, or bribery, at a minimum.
xii) Environmental Protection
Liz Fashion Industry is aware about protection of environment and follows all the rules and regulation regarding environment. Regular environmental assessment being done to understand bad impact to environment from factory activities and take necessary preventive / protective action.
xiii) Subcontracting / New Supplier Selection:
Before start any subcontract / select new supplier Liz Fashion Industry visit the factory and compare their labor standard with own labor standard. If new supplier labor standard are ok only then place order. After order placing in facility compliance personnel audit / visit supplier factory to ensure that they are maintain applicable laws.
xiv) Freedom of Association
Liz Fashion Industry Ltd doesn’t impose any restriction to the employee to join in any labor organization, collectively bargaining for wages and benefits. Employees can join with outside organization, such as: labor union, workers representative, non-profitable organization, female union, hospital, community, local brand representative as per law. Factory ensures that no workers being treated if he / she raise any complain to others. Factory belief that by mutual understanding increase respects within management and workers and also affects it’s to increase the production and hit the target.
